While it is ideal to have a spacious room for your home cinema, you can still enjoy the best home cinema from a smaller room in a quaint home. The trick is to use the features of your room to blend with the home cinema; the electronics should fit in comfortably with the rest of the settings.
Here are some suggestions on how to enjoy the best home cinema in a room that does not look like a spacious lounge.
The Dimensions Of The Room
Do use a rectangular room, and don’t use a square room. The room should be longer than it is wider for a home cinema not to completely dominate the room.
And just as you don’t want the room to be a square, you don’t want it to be a cube either, so ceiling height is also something to consider. The height of the room, from floor to ceiling, should not match the length of the room.
Reduce or Eliminate Unpleasant Bouncing Sounds
Do use a rug or carpet, and don’t use a bare floor, even if it is nicely laminated or has beautiful floorboards. This time the reason is not aesthetics, but functionality. Bare floors will bounce the sound, while rugs or carpets will absorb sound comfortably and you will not hear a strange humming sound as you watch a movie.
Similarly, add thick curtains to the windows. Again for the same reason. You don’t want the windows to reverberate when watching your show. Thick curtains that block out the light will add another dimension to your viewing pleasure.
Finally, if you can, change the door. By choosing a fire proof door, you will eliminate audio problems created by a vibrating door.
Be Selective About Your Technological Choices
While a 7.1 system is more impressive than a 5.1, and dynamic mode creates bright and compelling images, these choices in home cinema will have an overpowering effect on the total ambiance of the room. In other words, you are overdoing the electronic stimulation. Just as you want the physical home cinema to blend in with the size of the room, so, too, you want the cinematic effects to be pleasant, not jarring.
Bigger Is Not Always Better
Sound is important to pull you into the movie, but big speakers are not necessary at all. You can get the same sound effects with five small satellite speakers and a subwoofer.
Don’t keep your TV more than 15 degrees from eye height; for example, if you have a flat screen, you should not put it on a mantle piece. Having the screen too high will eventually cause a crick in your neck.
CANNES – A documentary using small clay figurines to tell the story of how Cambodian filmmaker Rithy Panh’s family perished under the Khmer Rouge regime won the top prize in the second most important competition at the Cannes film festival on Saturday.
L’Image Manquante (The Missing Picture) was among the 18 films that premiered in the Un Certain Regard category that was set up to encourage emerging and innovative filmmakers and run alongside the main competition at the world’s top film festival.
Panh, 49, a prolific filmmaker whose films concentrate on the brutality in Cambodia when an estimated 1.7 million people were killed during the 1975-79 Khmer Rouge regime, said the prize was important for his country.
For a country that has emerged from its difficulties and years of war, it is important to say we are still alive,” Panh told Reuters after receiving his award at a red carpet ceremony in the French Riviera resort.
The jury led by Danish director Thomas Vinterberg, whose film Jagten (The Hunt) won Mads Mikkelsen the best actor award at Cannes last year, described the documentary as one of the most powerful films I have seen in many years”.
The runner-up was Omar by Palestinian director Hany Abu-Assad, a political thriller involving Palestinians living under Israeli occupation in which a young baker, Omar, is tortured by Israel’s secret police to betray his friends.
Omar, which was shot in the West Bank and Israeli-Arab town of Nazareth last year, received a standing ovation at its premiere as the first film fully funded by the Palestinian cinema industry.
It is the only festival that I think still cares about different films,” said Abu-Assad, known for the 2005 award-winning film Paradise Now, as he received his award.
Another director in Un Certain Regard to get a standing ovation was Iran’s Mohammad Rasoulof who was jailed in 2010 for anti-regime propaganda but came to Cannes this year with Manuscripts Don’t Burn, shot in secret in his home country.
The non-professional actors of La Jaula de Oro (The Golden Cage), a film about three young Guatemalans trying to cross the Mexico-U.S. border from director Diego Quemada-Diez won an award for best cast.
Kodor Electronics gives a boost to the digital cinema initiative today with the release of the KodeKey Professional Zip Platform for Windows and Mac OS X computer systems.
Movie studios are expected to make wide investments in digital cinema upgrades in 2009 following a ten-year research and development period starting with the 1999 digital release of Walt Disney Pictures Bicentennial Man. Digital films are packaged and distributed using an industry standard specification called the Digital Cinema Package (DCP). Part of the DCP specification is the digital film MXF container that can range in single file sizes of 60GB to 500GB. Today, digital films are delivered by hard drive or satellite data transmission using fulfillment services from companies like Technicolor, Kodak, and Deluxe. Legacy celluloid reel manufacturing and distribution costs movie studios up to $1500 a print per theater. Digital distribution provides a dramatic drop in initial distribution investment for movie studios but has proven to be a bit costly due to hard drive delivery and expensive satellite rental time. The cost savings reserved from digital versus celluloid distribution is planned for investments into digital projector upgrades for theater vendors by the movie studios.
Delivering a system with an average per film distribution cost of $70, the KodeKey Zip technology is an online powered zip format that replaces the internal data storage of a traditional zip file with the cloud storage infrastructure of the Amazon Web Services S3 platform. By using an upload and download manager, the format can manage hundreds of gigabytes of data in a zip file less than 1 kilobyte in size per movie.
Optionally, the format can create 1,344,000-bit password certificates to add additional access protection as an accessory to KDM encryption keys sent to theater vendors to unlock playback rights for MXF containers.
Broadband delivery of digital films has been a challenge in the past due to poor TCP connections and poor designs of online storage servers required to handle single file sizes above 5GB. KodeKey Zip has been tested and approved for up to 1TB of single file archiving validated by rigorous 12-mode hash string calculation certification.
“KodeKey Zip has been designed to easily deliver 300GB digital films as an e-mail attachment to thousands of theaters simultaneously”, says inventor and Chairman William G. Blanchard, “We are honored to work with the digital film initiative and look forward to provide support to the digital movie industry worldwide.”

The first question you need to answer before writing your cafe cinema business plan – what is a business plan? In short it is a roadmap for your cafe cinema business presenting anyone who gazes as it what the goals of the business are and also shows how those goals should be achieved.
Without a cafe cinema business plan it is doubtful that prospective “angel investors” and the like will invest in your cafe cinema business if that is what you require to start-up or if you need to take it up another level
The plan should be adapted for the would-be lender or the financier. The substance of the plan should show the would-be interests of the lender and promote support for your cafe cinema business venture.
Your cafe cinema business plan is not just for getting you the capital you need – it’s main objective ought to be to point the bearing in which your cafe cinema business is heading.
You must keep your investor’s attention by making the article as reader friendly as possible. Use plain, direct language and graphics to illustrate your ideas. Make sure your content reflects the optimistic approach of the management team. Still, it is advisable to be realistic when presenting economic forecasts.
You must cover the businesses strengths and weaknesses and illustrate how you plan to overcome weaknesses. Show you appreciate the risks concerned and recommend probable solutions for overcoming these risks and offer evidence to support your statements. This will augment credibility to the cafe cinema business plan.
Make a lasting first impression by presenting the document in a clear and professional manner by using a clear, unpretentious design that conveys a skilled image and avoid jargon, keeping the contents concise and hard hitting. Any technical or supporting information ought to be provided in the appendices.
Keep all the numbers between the main body of the document and your appendices – if you put large sections of figures in the body of your article you will distract your backer from the flow of the business plan.
If you are starting a new business; you must give your reasons why you came up with the idea to start this new venture. Give advantages of your particular products or services that you mean to offer to potential clients stating how you intend to get their business. Give details of the market sector whether it’s a growing sector or not, elucidate your pricing policy and how you intend to trade your goods/services. Highlight any rivalry out there and how you intend to compete in this profitable market and make your investor a return on his or her money.
Make apparent the know-how and awards of you and your management team and show how their skills can be harnessed to attain growth possibilities and profitability. Offer information on staffing requirements including CVs for superior management in the Appendices and, if applicable, an organisation chart to illustrate the management construction.
Cinema is the number one entertainment solution for all. It has some magic magnetic to attract the people. In 1930, Indian people has no television, they all entertained by real time drama from the writer. And they only know the news from papers. After that the real big screen cinema enters into the India. Now India has 18 languages. Very important and famous language is Hindi. Tamil language an ancient language, it speaks only in Tamil Nadu. The first start of India cinema begins in Madras (Chennai). And after the 1950 many films started to release. The only way to watch cinema is in Theatres only.
The ancient technicians have been passed away now. They are the GURU for the newbie. The name super Star is the high proud award for any actor in Tamil cinema. When a hero provides 50 plus hit movies and he will be called as Super Star. This is not easy like it seems, every film has different story, but some of the films only can reach the victory mark, it indicates that every employer should contribute to achieve the film into success area. K. Palachandar is the one of the ancient film directors who lives still. Nearly 10 plus assistant directors were worked under him. All the assistant directors are now becomes the top ten film director list. This is awesome news to know.
Getting success in Tamil cinema is not an easy part. The old Super Stars has stopped to star in films. They only act in particular films only. The current young heroes are acting several films and they are easily notable by the use of televisions. The television turns the audience easily to know about the actors and technicians. Actor Vijay is one of the power heroes in the south zone cinema. His films are providing big profit to the produces than any hero. He is an amazing and raising Super Star. Actor Ajith is the competitor for Actor Vijay. Normally both Vijay and Ajith movies releasing in same day, but it decreases the profit, so they planned to release their films in different dates.
The people who are famous today said that how they reach this famous? The answer is simple Cinema. So to get success in short term period, we need to achieve and explore our talent in the media field. This only can turn the life of any people and make them famous. Hard work and luck are the main factors to glitter in film industry. Many educational institutes are available today to learn directing, cinematography, Arts, editing. By joining the institute and learning the course, we have the chance to contact the cine people. This is the sugar. Is not it?

Now available on Satellite TV Pay Per View Cinema, the same day its released on DVD, is the teen comedy 17 Again, starring heartthrob Zac Efron.
In the movie, Efron plays Mike O’Donell, a high school basketball star who seems to have everything a college scholarship, popularity, and a beautiful girlfriend. But all of that changes when his girlfriend Scarlett reveals that shes pregnant. Suddenly all of Mikes aspirations are dashed and we fast forward twenty years later. Mike (now played by Matthew Perry) and Scarlett (Leslie Mann) are separated, and Mike is living with his software genius nerd best friend Ned (Thomas Lennon). We also learn that Mikes relationship with his own teenaged children is nonexistent, and his job is at a standstill. Praying for a change after he is passed up for a promotion, Mike meets a mysterious janitor who transforms him back to his glory days and suddenly Mike is 17 (and played by Zac Efron) again.
Posing as a new student named Mark, Mike infiltrates his childrens school and learns things about them that he never knew. He also visits an unsuspecting Scarlett and rediscovers all the things that initially made him fall in love with her. Of course it should come as little surprise to anyone who watches movies that Mike will eventually learn some things about himself that will make him a better husband, a better father, and appreciate life as he never did before.
I saw this movie initially when it was released to theaters in April and I remember thinking Cute, but I could have waited for DVD. Its chock-full of the stereotypes that weve come to expect in these teen comedies (the jock bully, the trio of cheerleader temptresses, the final showdown at the basketball game with that one chance to make the winning basket), but it still works, mostly due to Efrons charms. Now that he is stepping outside of the Disney mold, Efron is proving himself to be much more than just a pretty face. He shows some surprising dramatic chops here (most notably during the speech he gives to a judge in a courtroom at the end) and I think he has a long career ahead of him as an actor in more serious roles. Leslie Mann is somewhat underused, but she is still good here, and I always appreciate seeing her in comedies (she also appeared in The 40 Year-Old Virgin, Knocked Up, and this summer’s Funny People.)
I think Efron fans will be tempted to give this five stars before they even see it, but if other people give it a chance they will see there is a little more than meets the eye in Efrons talent. 17 Again had heart and it wasnt crass, and I think its a movie the whole family can enjoy. Sometimes a little sugary sweetness is actually kind of endearing.

The period often correlated with modern Indian cinema is supposed to have begun in 1970’s when commercial cinema came forth as a means of recreation for the general public and this continues with the contemporary Indian cinema today. Although directors like Govind Nihilani, Shyam Benegal and others kept the flame of artistic movies alive, the commercial cinema surpassed the artistic cinema by leaps and bounds.
The influence of mainstream movie industry kept on increasing in 1980s and 1990s. With the release of movies like Tezaab, Maine Pyaar Kiya, Kayamat se Kayamat Tak and Chandni in 1980’s and Darr, Baazigar and Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge in 1990’s, the trend of romantic cinema held ground. Such romantic movies told emotional love stories of young couples who after many adversities get married and stay happily ever after. Some of these romantic movies were very big hits and broke box office records.
The trend of romantic Bollywood movies continued in late 1990’s and early 2000’s with the release of hugely popular movies like Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. Interestingly, the art cinema re-emerged by late 1990s as many movies including Traffic Signal, Chandni Bar and Satya received good critic reviews. These modern Indian movies were a refreshing change at the time when uninspired romantics were the order of the day and they proved to be memorable experience for the viewers.
Numerous movies with big budgets including Veer and Mein aur Mrs Khanna were not well received, and surprisingly, DevD and other small budget movies have done well. This has lead to fresh and unique stories being favored among the Bollywood producers and directors.
The present trend in the Indian movie industry is to try new themes and storylines. Movies like Three Idiots and My Name is Khan have experimented with new subjects and have been hugely successful. The modern Hindi movies are bringing in a fresh new experimental wave of cinema, which is being more than welcomed by the Indian cinema audience.
